We write lots of stories about the events that take place here at Kingfisher, the fun activities, and parties however, even for us life isn’t just one long party. To quote John Lennon, “Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans.”
We spend a lot of our time doing the same things that we have always done. We help out where we can, making ourselves useful, filling our time with day-to-day tasks that keep us busy and mentally stimulated. We spend time watching television, catching up with our favourite soaps and whiling away the hours discussing the latest drama. We invite our friends and families over for tea, cake and a catch-up.
We are extremely fortunate to have a choice in how much or how little we do. The housekeeping team keep our home immaculate and some of us are very happy to sit back and enjoy their services, but for some of us it is important to get involved, and the team are happy to support us to do as much or as little as we desire.
We get out into the community as often as we like, sometimes indulging in a pub lunch, other times enjoying a spot of retail therapy or even just a stroll to the post box. We are supported to attend family events just as the lovely Fay was this week when she attended a family wedding.
We enjoy the activities, the parties, the entertainers, they are wonderful however having the support and opportunity to continue to lead our own lives is priceless.
