The weather has taken a rather autumnal turn this week and reminded us that summer is over, and the winter is coming. We enjoy the changing of the seasons, and everything that they bring.
We have spent a lot of time outside this summer, the weather has been glorious, and our garden certainly sparkled in the sun’s rays but now our garden is taking on a new persona, the bright flowers and green leaves are being replaced by the reds and golds of the season and it is beautiful to watch it transform.
This week, as we watched the trees begin to shed their leaves, we agreed that the time had come to take on the task of preparing our garden for the coming months.
Derek jumped straight into action, and has worked tirelessly to tidy up flower beds, removing the leaves and weeds, turning the soil, and watering the thirsty plants. It has been such a dry summer and the plants were extremely grateful for a drink.
The garden is now looking much better, and that is thanks to Derek and his dedication to it. He has tended to it all year and created a beautiful space and for that we are all very grateful. Thank you, Derek.
